About
Eric Tripper
Musician and instrument designer based in Wallonia, Belgium.
His music moves between cool jazz atmospheres, ambient textures and cinematic soundscapes, released under his own name on streaming platforms and on his YouTube channel. Over time, the search for particular sounds led him from playing instruments to building them.
His professional background is in industrial electrical and automation engineering, and it shows in his approach: instruments are designed like real machines, with a 7-inch screen, four encoders and four buttons, ready to become hardware. Every design starts as a playable simulation, so you can try the instrument long before it exists in a box.
The collection
The instruments focus on niches that few others explore:
- WaveSkanner: scan a sample with two moving windows, stretched or played like tape
- Grainwaver: granular synthesis, turning any sample into clouds of sound
- WaveSpectral: freeze a moment of sound and sculpt its spectrum
- WaveAtlas: a map of timbres you travel through with your finger
- WaveGarden: a generative garden where melodies sprout, mutate and fade
All browser instruments are free. WaveSkanner is also available as a VST3 plugin for your music software. If you enjoy them, you can support future instruments on Ko-fi.
