Generative garden simulation: Raspberry Pi CM5, 7" touchscreen at 1024×600, 4 encoders and 4 buttons.
No saved garden yet.
Each plant is a short musical motif. It sprouts, grows, blooms, sows seeds that inherit and mutate its motif, then withers and dies. Height on screen is pitch: mosses hum at the bottom, glass bulbs sparkle at the top. Seasons change the scale and which plants thrive.
Tap the soil to sow a seed; tap a plant to prune it. The encoders set light, water, wind, lifespan and the rest. Freeze stops evolution: no births, deaths or mutations, the current plants keep playing. Shift + Play sows a new garden. Shift + Freeze toggles MIDI clock sync.
With MIDI feed on (page 8), hold a chord on a MIDI keyboard or the computer keys A to K: the garden adopts those notes as its scale. Sleep timer (page 6) fades the garden out for rooms and installations. Space Play, Enter Freeze, P Page.
