Timbre-map synth simulation: Raspberry Pi CM5, 7" touchscreen at 1024×600, 4 encoders and 4 buttons.
No user preset yet.
Tap a sample to add it to the map or remove it. Every sample in the corpus is cut into fragments and placed on the map.
Every dot is a short fragment of a sample, placed by how it sounds (brightness, pitch, loudness or noisiness, chosen on page 5). Drag on the map to move the cursor: the synth plays fragments inside the circle. In Path motion, your last gesture loops.
Drag vertically or use the mouse wheel; Shift gives extra-fine steps; double-tap a tile to reset it. Play starts and stops. Shift + Play previews the fragment under the cursor. Freeze locks the current fragment. Shift + Freeze toggles tempo sync.
MIDI mode (page 8): 4 voices with ADSR. Turn up Tune (page 3) to retune every fragment to the note you play. Computer keys A to K play notes, Z X shift the octave. Space Play, Enter Freeze, P Page.
